A majority of Americans more likely to vote for midterm candidates who support lowering health costs, according to an Axios-Ipsos poll

  • More than 6 in 10 backing direct-to-consumer drug sales and a similar share favouring reinstated enhanced ACA subsidies
  • Support for the latter is sharply partisan, with 71% of Democrats and only 26% of Republicans backing it
  • The poll also found 72% concerned about rising insurance costs, while 26% reported personal or known use of weight-loss drugs in the past three months, up from 18% in March
  • Ipsos surveyed 1,189 adults from 12-15th June, with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.9ppts
