Anglo American (AAL LN) - Anglo American agrees the sale of its steelmaking coal business for up to USD 3.875bln in cash. Co. will use the cash proceeds to reduce net debt. Elsewhere, Anglo provides an update related to the Collahuasi environmental permit in Chile. Currently does not currently expect any immediate impact on production. (Anglo American).
AstraZeneca (AZN LN) - Co.'s Baxfendy (baxdrostat) has been approved in the US as a first-in-class aldosterone synthase inhibitor (ASI) for the treatment of hypertension in combination with other antihypertensive medications, to lower blood pressure in adults who are not adequately controlled. GSK (GSK LN) - Japan's MHLW has expanded the eligible population for Arexvy, to include adults aged 18 to 49 years at increased risk (AIR) for RSV disease. (GSK)

Prudential (PRU LN) - Prudential agreed to buy a 75% stake in Bharti Life Insurance for INR 35bln, Bloomberg reports. The deal gives the UK insurer access to India’s uninsured middle class, with an additional consideration of up to INR 7bln payable on completion. (Bloomberg)

TotalEnergies (TTE) - France will not rule out an exceptional tax on TotalEnergies, Bloomberg reports; Budget Minister Amiel said there was “no taboo” over redistributing excess profits from higher oil prices, though the government currently prefers a fuel-price cap.
