"Both mediators have put forward some proposals and ideas and had some exchanges off late with Iran and US in order to de-escalate", Pakistani journalist Mallick reports.
What it means
This report indicates that there are ongoing diplomatic efforts from mediators to de-escalate tensions between Iran and the US. Positive outcomes from these discussions could lead to a stabilization in oil markets, particularly WTI, which has been sensitive to geopolitical tensions in the region.
