Jackson Hole is the symposium where the market-moving content has historically come from the Fed chair's opening remarks on the Friday morning, and this schedule confirms that slot, with Warsh delivering the keynote at the head of the Friday session. The rest of the programme is thematic rather than conjunctural: papers on financial innovation, tokenized finance and the international monetary system, with Schnabel, Mann and Hernández de Cos in discussant or panel roles, is the kind of academic agenda that rarely re-prices anything on its own. Precedent is that the chair's speech frames the near-term policy path, and the front end and the dollar have typically taken their cue from how it reads against the prevailing stance, while discussant commentary from other central bankers has mattered only at the margin, mainly for relative-rate stories where an ECB or BoE voice diverges from the Fed tone. The follow-ons in past episodes have been the text release at the start of the remarks, any departure from prepared language in delivery, and whether other Fed officials on the sidelines echo or soften the signal over the following days.
