German Industrial Production MoM (Feb) M/M -0.3% vs. Exp. 0.9% (Prev. -0.5%)

Destatis:

• The less volatile three-month on three-month comparison showed that production was 0.4% lower in the period from December 2025 to February 2026 than in the previous three months.
• The month-on-month decrease in February 2026 is due to the drop in output registered in the construction industry (-1.2%), in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (-3.9%) and in the pharmaceutical industry (-4.4%). By contrast, production growth in the automotive industry (+1.7%) had a positive impact on the result.
