"The U.S. regime, in the first moments of early Wednesday, 20 Khordad 1405, under the pretext of the fall of an Apache helicopter of the terrorist army of this country over the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday night, carried out savage attacks against areas in the south of the country. These attacks constitute a flagrant violation of the Charter of the United Nations, especially Article 4 of Article 2, and the fundamental rule prohibiting the use of force in international relations, and the governing body of the United States, through these aggressive acts, once again demonstrated its criminal and warlike nature."

"In response to the U.S. military aggression against Iran and the overt violation of our country’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, the powerful armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the course of exercising the inherent right of legitimate defense, dealt severe strikes at American bases and assets in the region that were the origin of these aggressions. "

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while strongly condemning the American crime in its military aggression against Iran, once again recalls the legal and ethical responsibility of all the countries of the region, especially the countries located on the southern shores of the Persian Gulf, to prevent any use by the terrorist army of America and the Zionist regime of their territory and facilities for the design, organization, execution, and support of aggressive actions against Iran, and warns that the Islamic Republic of Iran, in exercising its inherent right to defend itself— including by targeting the origin of the attacks and also the bases and logistical facilities used to carry out and support aggressive operations against Iran— will not hesitate."

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran also, once again, points out the responsibility of the United Nations, especially the Security Council of this organization and its Secretary-General, for safeguarding international peace and security and for making the aggressive parties accountable."
