- Spain to sell EUR 5-6bln 0.70% 2032, 3.45% 2034 and 3.40% 2036 Bono
- France to sell EUR 11-13bln 2.40% 2029, 2.70% 2031, 3.25% 2032 and 2.00% 2032 OAT
- France to sell EUR 2-2.5bln 2.10% 2037 OATei
Combined auctions of this size from Spain and France have historically been digested without difficulty when order books open with decent concession already built in, but the pattern on heavy days is for peripheral and semi-core spreads to cheapen into the bidding window and retrace afterward, with the Bund-OAT spread the cleaner tell than outright yields. The French linker line adds an inflation-breakeven dimension on top of the nominal supply, and weak cover there has tended to weigh on the broader OAT complex. The immediate signals are bid-to-cover and tails relative to recent averages at each line, any slippage in the awarded amount versus the top of the range, and whether dealers are left holding paper into the close. Concession built pre-auction typically determines the tone for the rest of the session.
