Tour the PlatformThis is a standard daily calendar sheet rather than a market event in itself, and its function is sequencing: the order in which releases land tends to set the day's narrative. The heavy items are the EZ preliminary CPI, which historically has driven front-end euro rates and shaped expectations ahead of the next ECB meeting, and the US ISM manufacturing print with its prices-paid and employment subindices, which have often mattered more to the rates market than the headline. JOLTS has been a persistent input to the Fed's labour-market read and typically moves the front end on surprise. Chinese PMI sets the early tone for commodity and Asia-sensitive assets, and the interaction between the Chinese print and the global manufacturing finals can either confirm or contradict the soft-data story. The Atlanta Fed GDPNow update rounds out the US picture and has on past occasions shifted rate expectations when it diverges sharply from consensus tracking. Speaker risk from Fed and ECB officials on the same day as tier-one data has historically amplified or dampened the data reaction depending on whether commentary leans with or against the print.
