Weekly calendar previews of this kind matter less for any single item than for how the events cluster, and this one clusters late: the Wednesday US PCE print and the Fed symposium that runs through the end of the week are the two anchors, with the payrolls annual revision prelim on Friday a third. The pattern in such weeks is for positioning to go quiet early, with conviction trades deferred until the symposium's keynote framing is known, and for the inflation print to be traded primarily through the lens of what it implies for that framing rather than on its own. The payrolls benchmark revision is worth flagging separately: in past episodes, large revisions to the level of employment have reshaped the narrative around labour market momentum more than the monthly prints themselves, and rates desks tend to treat the prelim figure as a genuine event risk rather than a formality. The earnings slate, with Nvidia and the software names reporting midweek, carries the index-level weight, since a handful of large caps have accounted for an outsized share of equity index moves in recent reporting seasons. Sovereign rating actions on France and others land into a week of heavy supply, a combination that has previously amplified spread moves in the affected curves. The tells are whether Fed speakers ahead of the symposium signal any shift in reaction function and how the front end prices the PCE relative to the prevailing path.
