Polish Business Confidence (Sep) -5.8 (Prev. -5.1)
Polish business sentiment readings are a second-tier release that rarely moves PLN or Warsaw equities on their own; the zloty trades off the rates differential with the euro area, NBP rhetoric and regional risk rather than off monthly confidence prints.

The deterioration versus the prior month is directionally consistent with a soft industrial backdrop, and readings of this kind tend to matter only when they corroborate the harder data, industrial output, PMI surveys and retail sales, rather than when they diverge from it. A modest slippage within an already negative range fits the established pattern of sentiment surveys oscillating without trend until a decisive break in either direction. The tells that follow are whether the manufacturing PMI and production figures confirm the weakening, and whether the NBP's commentary shifts toward the easing stance it has historically adopted when activity data softens while inflation is contained. As a standalone print, the signal is weak and the release is unlikely to alter the near-term policy calculus.
