• Will not leave everything to the market, and will use public intervention where necessary.
• Will set out a 10-year plan to drive down the costs of these essentials.
• To safeguard sovereign supply over key sectors such as agriculture, steel, defence, energy and others.
• Will reform business rates to support pubs and the high street. 
• Won't take risks with public finances.
