US President Trump says September's S&P Global Flash PMI report shows impressive growth

Presidential commentary on an already-released survey is not itself a data event; the flash PMI print stood on its own when it crossed, and remarks of this kind have historically added nothing to the information set beyond confirming the administration's political framing of the numbers.

Full post: This is a survey of people in business — the S&P Flash Survey — of purchasing, manufacturing and hiring. Guess what? The report shows impressive Growth.

Composite Index — Services + Manufacturing, 62 month high!

Manufacturing — 53 month high!

Services — 52 month high!

This is the “HOTTEST” Economy in the World — and the Media is working overtime for the Democrats to convince Voters that the opposite is true.

For working people, a “HOT” Economy is good because it gives them more wage leverage, and more flexibility to get better jobs.

The Media is trying to cover up how well things are going before the Midterms, just to help Democrats. The truth is something everyone should be celebrating. The Economy IS putting Americans back to work. Real median incomes are the highest on record!

Let's not forget: Biden inflation in August 2022 was over 8 percent.

If you ignore the (predictable) boomerang ‘growth’ Biden got immediately after the COVID period, Trump's Second Term would be the fastest Growth since 2015.

We’re supposed to stop all of this momentum, halt all this progress, to turn things over to the bozos who will simply launch investigations, and try to reverse it all?

Americans are getting richer. Businesses are investing and growing. Democrat and NeverTrump Predictions that turned out to be WRONG:

— Businesses are NOT abandoning the U.S.

— Deporting illegals did NOT tank the Economy.

— Tariffs didn’t slow down the Economy.

— Cutting the Federal workforce didn’t hurt us either.

— Other countries didn’t “leave us behind.”

— Oil didn’t go to $200 a barrel.

Gas prices will be coming down and, if you stick with us, America will continue to be the strongest, freest Country on God’s Green Earth!

Context

The pattern in past cycles is that incumbent endorsement of strong activity data leans into the growth narrative ahead of elections, while the rates and equity reaction, if any, was already imparted at the time of the release. The substantive content here is the administration's defence of its policy mix, tariffs, deportations, federal workforce cuts, against the slowdown predictions made when those measures were announced; that argument is political rather than macro, and desks treated the underlying tariff and labour-supply channels on their own data merits months ago. The one channel worth noting is the framing itself: an official line that the economy is running hot sits awkwardly beside simultaneous pressure for easier monetary policy, a tension that has recurred in prior episodes of executive-branch commentary on the central bank. What follows is not a market sequence but a political one, midterm positioning, and the next genuine tells remain the final PMI revisions and the hard-data confirmations rather than the commentary around them.
