China Foreign Ministry says they are in communication with the US about exchanges between their leaders.
What it means
The communication between China and the US regarding exchanges between their leaders suggests a potential thawing in relations, which could ease current tensions. This dialogue is crucial for market stability, particularly for commodities and equities, as improved relations may foster a more favorable trade environment. Watch for implications on risk sentiment and asset flows, particularly in safe-haven assets that might react negatively to signs of reconciliation.
