Iran Foreign Minister Araghchi and US Envoy Witkoff reportedly in contact over text messages in recent days, according to Channel 12.
What it means
The reported communication between Iran's Foreign Minister and the US Envoy signals potential diplomatic engagement, which may ease tensions surrounding Iran's nuclear program. This could impact oil prices, notably WTI, as any de-escalation in geopolitical risks often results in a softer energy market outlook. Investors should monitor developments closely, as sustained dialogue could shift sentiment significantly in commodity markets.
