Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman says Qatar is not currently aware of any official mediation between the US and Iran, Sky News Arabia reports.
What it means
The statement from the Qatari Foreign Ministry indicates a lack of progress or clarity in US-Iran relations, which could be pertinent to energy markets. This absence of official mediation may signal continued geopolitical tensions, potentially impacting oil prices and risk sentiment, particularly for WTI and other related commodities.
